Youth Ministry & Initiative

Here at The Forerunners Center we give back to our community by pouring into our youth. We sponsor monthly under privileged youth that may not have clothing, or their parents/guardian can't afford to send them to school in rural areas or they may not have food or the necessary resources they need, we educate parents by conducting parenting classes to help them become better parents. Children that are in the foster care system we assit in educating the foster care parents with problematic or special needs children. We advocate for special needs children to ensure that the school systems are upholding their responsiblity accrding to the IDEA act and that parents/gaurdians are educated on their rights. We also have similar to a big bother big sister program where we spend time with children and impart love, play games, go shopping, go to the movies, assist with homework, introduce character education to the child, pay attention to and show that we care and impart love into the child and by educating the parent on how to handle children that act out and how to implement activities at home with their child.  If you would like to volunteer in our youth or children's ministry click here to fill out the volunteer application.
